What I have seen
(This post is strictly the authors observations on his walk with God)
What I have seen
I have seen that God takes care of His people
He loves us, and even in hardship will not abandon you.
I have seen that He answers prayer. He does this in His timing - but He always does things when they actually need to be done!
I have seen that God speaks to me almost daily. How? Through scripture! Frequently I will be going along, and suddenly remember a relevant scripture to a situation. I struggled with this question for years - "God, will you please speak to me?"; not realizing He was doing it all along! (See John 14:26)
I have realized patience is important in your walk with God. You cannot rush God - Again, remember that He does everything in His timing.
It seems the closer that you draw to God, and the more serious you take your faith, the less you want to sin. It is almost like becoming closer to God pushes sin/sinful thoughts away from you.
I have seen that little in this life actually matters. Define your needs - food, water, clothes, hygiene, sleep, health, and (ideally) a roof over your head. Nothing else is really important for physical needs. And God takes care of those - daily! Trust Him!
I have learned not to worry - that God is faithful, and you can truly lean on Him.
I have learned how important it is to tell others about the faith, and how real God is!
Bad situations can have good outcomes. "...for those who love God all things work together for good...," is an incredibly true statement. (Romans 8:28, ESV)
I have learned how blessed I am, That God, the Creator of the Universe, cares about me. This is very humbling when you think about it.
I have had a change of perspective in my walk with God...Life becomes not 'What can God do for me?" but "What can I do for God"
Prayers of gratitude, literally just telling God how grateful you are for what He has done, are very special.
Christians are a very blessed people. Never forget it!
